Dr. Ajay Kapur

Dr. Ajay Kapur is an internationally recognized executive, creative scientist, and entrepreneur operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, immersive technology, and global education. He is the CEO of KarmetiK, an AI-driven creative agency operating in the entertainment and creative industries that has managed international business operations and strategic cross-border projects worldwide for over twenty years. Concurrently, he serves as the associate provost for Creative Technologies at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts)—where he is the inaugural director of the university's groundbreaking Creative Computing program—and as a Visiting Professor in Interactive Media Arts at New York University Shanghai.

A prolific inventor and scholar, Dr. Kapur holds over 25 patents utilizing core AI technologies to advance education, creative practice, and Web3 frameworks, and has published more than 200 technical papers worldwide. His extensive background in bridging complex engineering with cultural and media technology has led to major international installations and performances, spanning from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), REDCAT at Walt Disney Concert Hall Complex, to the Winter Olympics.
